The Workers' War: Home Front Recalled
Workers' War: Home Front Recalled was a partnership initiative between London Metropolitan University, the Trades Union Congress and the National Pensioners' Convention to record and commemorate the role played by trade unions and workers on the Home Front during the Second World War. This learning resource was supported by the Big Lottery Fund as part of national activities to mark the 60th anniversary of the war.
The project website is part of The Union Makes Us Strong: TUC History Online and holds hundreds of digitised images and documents, oral testimony from those who worked on the Home Front during the war and contributions from historians.
