Books and Periodicals
To accompany the archives in our Special Collections we hold an extensive reference library of rare books, journals and pamphlets that complement courses currently taught at London Metropolitan University, and which provide a wider context to their subject areas.
To support research of The Archive of Irish in Britain, for example, we hold a number of titles that provide an introduction to Irish history.
How to Search
A selection of books from our Quick Reference library is available to browse on the shelves in our reading room. For items not on open access, please request them in advance.
- Onsite items can usually be retrieved the same day
- Offsite items require at least 72 hours’ notice for retrieval
Details about whether a book is held onsite or offsite can be found in the Notes field of the catalogue record.
